Offline SOS via Bluetooth
The Offline SOS via Bluetooth (Nearby Help) option appears when you trigger the SOS button or widget but your phone cannot send alerts through mobile data or SMS.
This feature allows you to broadcast an emergency message to nearby devices that also have the Famalth ONE App installed.
When It Appears
- Tap the SOS Button inside the app, or
- Use the SOS Widget on your home screen.
If the app detects that SMS/Internet delivery isn’t available, it will automatically open the Nearby Help screen.
What You Can Do
On the Emergency Help from Nearby Devices screen:
-
Write a short message (up to 300 characters):
- Example: “Stuck near City Mall, wearing red jacket, need urgent help.”
- Mention landmarks, clothing, or situation for easy identification.
-
Check Location Coordinates:
- Your current latitude and longitude are auto-detected.
- Tap the refresh icon to update location if needed.
-
Send SOS via Bluetooth:
- Tap Send SOS to broadcast your alert.
- All Famalth ONE App users nearby with Bluetooth ON may receive it.
Keep your message clear and short for quick recognition.

Common Questions
Q1: Does this send to my contacts?
No. Nearby Help is only for devices within Bluetooth range.
If another device has internet, it may relay your SOS to your contacts.
Q2: What is the Bluetooth range?
Typically 30–100 meters, depending on the device and environment.
Q3: Does it appear every time I tap SOS?
Yes. It appears if normal SOS sending fails or you want to get help from nearby people.
Q4: Can I retry if no one responds?
Yes. Try to resend your message with updated location.
Troubleshooting

| Send SOS button disabled | Enter a message and ensure Bluetooth is enabled. |
| Location not detected | Enable GPS/Location Services and tap refresh. |
| Nearby users not receiving | Confirm they have the Famalth ONE App installed with Bluetooth ON. |
The Nearby SOS Help option ensures that even if your phone cannot reach your emergency contacts via SMS or internet, you can still alert nearby SOS users and increase your chances of getting help.
