Location History
The Location History feature allows you to review all previously saved, visited, and tracked locations. Use this tool to revisit past trips, verify visited places, and manage your stored location records.
Access Location History
- Open The SOS App on your Android device.
- Navigate to Core SOS > Location History.
- A list appears showing:
- Saved Locations (manually bookmarked)
- Visited Locations (auto-logged during Trip Tracker sessions)
- Tracked Locations (real-time shares or fetches)
View a Location
- In the Location History list, locate the entry you wish to view.
- Tap the Maps button (🗺️ icon) next to that entry.
- The app opens a map centered on the recorded GPS coordinates.
- Zoom or pan the map as needed to inspect surrounding landmarks.
Delete a Saved Location
- In the Location History list, find the location entry to remove.
- Tap the Delete button (🗑️ icon) on the right side of that entry.
- A confirmation prompt appears—tap Delete again to confirm removal.
- The entry is permanently removed from your history list.
Deleted entries cannot be recovered. Ensure you no longer need the record before confirming deletion.
FAQs
Q1: What types of locations are shown in Location History?
- Saved Locations: Manually bookmarked addresses or points of interest.
- Visited Locations: Automatically logged stops when using Trip Tracker or Live Location Sharing.
- Tracked Locations: Times when you fetched or shared your live location without saving.
Q2: How often is Location History updated?
Location History refreshes each time you complete a Trip Tracker session, use Live Location Sharing, or manually save a location. Pull down on the list to refresh manually.
Q3: Can I delete multiple entries at once?
No. At present, Location History supports deleting one entry at a time. Long-pressing multiple entries is not supported.
Q4: Will deleting a location affect my Trip Tracker records?
No. Deleting individual history entries does not alter your past Trip Tracker session logs. Each Trip Tracker session is archived separately until you choose to remove it from Location History.
